Ultimate
is a new brand sport in our
country, dynamic and very attractive. For the first time
ever it’s going to take place a clubs tournament in
Catalonia, it’s going to be then a good chance to
enjoy the showtime that some of the best ultimate and freestyle
players from different places from Europe will give us in
this event, in Lloret de Mar, Girona.

spectatular sport is played with a frisbee (flying disc)
in a 45m x 25m field, with two 15m deep endzones added to
each end. Two essentially mixed teams (men and women) of
5 players each have to advance in their offence by passing
the disc, without running when having the disc in their
hands, which is not allowed. A goal occours when a pass
is completed inside the offensive endzone, avoiding the
efforts of the defence to intercept the disc. You can see
incredible layouts from the defensive players to get this
interceptions. This makes ultimate real spectacular.
The
Costa Brava Tournament includes a freestyle competition,
an artistic kind of flying disc sport, what will make us
enjoy the impressive skills of some of the best freestylers
from all over the World. This is going to be the first freestyle
competition in Spain in history. Definitively, showtime.
